Claremont and San Bernardino dentist will pay for Halloween sweets from children through Friday

Dentist Vijay Patel, from Nov. 1 through Friday, will give his patients $1 per pound of Halloween candy donated.

“Kids can still experience the fun of trick or-treating, and now their piggy banks will benefit as well,” Patel said in a news release.

Patel said in the news release candy hurts the teeth of children and can cause weight gain and hyperactivity.

Youths global sugar consumption increases by 2 percent annually and is at 50 million tons per year, according to the release.

Children can take advantage of the offer at the Claremont and San Bernardino locations below during office hours:

Claremont Dental Institute: 601 E Foothill Blvd., Claremont; 909-625-4101
