Scholarship Tree of Lights lit

The Walnut Valley Women's Club invites the community to its annual Scholarship Tree of Lights tree lighting at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, at Fire Station 61, located on the corner of Lemon Avenue and La Puente Road in Walnut.

Club members have been selling ornaments for the past two months, to raise money to fund their many scholarships for local high school students. These ornaments will now decorate the community tree.

The Walnut High School Chamber Singers, directed by Lisa Lopez, will provide entertainment, as well as students from Vejar Elementary School.
