Just got myself an Intel I7 970. It simultaniously calculates Pi to 10000 decimals 6 times, in 2 minutes :)
I started the process to calculate PI on my i7 720m Alienware laptop. I am being a bit more daring and calculating out to 100,000,000 points. If it had 8GB of RAM instead of 4 I think it might actually let me try to calculate out into the trillions of decimal points. Of course my laptop crunches SETI@Home when not in use and since I built a new i5 desktop I have no problem letting it chew on that for the next several months. Thanks for the tip!
