Marcus Camby returned to practice today after missing most of last week with the flu. Camby was able to take part in most of Monday morning's practice, though coach Mike Dunleavy said he was going to ease Camby back into things slowly.

Thanks for the update greatly appreciated. Camby is a strong piece to this team and it's good to know he is working himself back into form. I believe everything is set pretty much for the Clippers, if we have a strong need for another PG I can see one being picked up off waivers. The team looks strong and ready only guy we have to keep an eye on is Eric Gordon to see how the injury is going.
Ramona on a different topic how has things been with Ricky Davis? I read that he was working with Mike Taylor during the UCLA sessions and gave some tips to Mike on how to improve his defense. What I'm trying to get at is, has Ricky shown from your point of view that he is taking his game to the next level on and off the court and is ready to be a true veteran of the game?
Actually, yes. I've talked to a couple of players about Ricky, most notably Baron Davis who has known him for years, and they all talk about how much Ricky has matured.
There are a lot of people within the Clippers organization who think Ricky can be starting by the end of the season. I'm not yet convinced of that, mostly because I think Ricky is so good at providing a spark off the bench, and if Ricky starts, who do you move to the bench? Cat? Al? Baron, Chris and Marcus are pretty locked in as starters.
Baron said that Ricky's reputation has been affected by the fact that he has played on bad, losing teams in the past. But Baron has always thought whatever reputation Ricky might have is unfounded.
All I can judge him on is his interactions with us so far, and what people have told me about him, and he's been a pleasure to deal with. Really humble, accomodating and thoughtful.

Ramona,
Any word on the OCR rumor from Art Thompson III regarding Baylor not being the team GM?
I've just posted a blog item on it. More details will follow. Sorry for the delay. I was driving down to the OC for the Lakers exhibition tonight.
