Clippers lose 111-104

The Clippers couldn’t overcome a dominant third quarter by the Nuggets and suffered their fifth loss of the season 111-104.
LA (1-5) outscored Denver (3-2) in two of the four quarters – including the fourth – but were outscored
29-17 in the third, led my Carmelo Anthony.
Anthony finished the game with 30 points, six assists and five rebounds and Aron Afflalo added 16 points and Al Harrington had 18 off the bench to lead Denver
Blake Griffin got his third double-double of the season with 26 points (on 11-18 shooting) and 10 rebounds to lead the Clippers while Eric Gordon had 21 points and Eric Bledsoe added 12 from the starting five and Craig Smith and Rasual Butler scored 18 and 12 respectively from the bench.

LA plays at Utah on Saturday.
