Clippers beat the Hornets 99-95

The Clippers finally broke their losing streak and won their second game of the year - beating New Orleans 99-95. It is the first time LA (2-13) has beaten New Orleans (11-2) in 14 tries and the Clippers got their first win since November 4th.

LA went on a 10-2 run at the end of the fourth quarter and Eric Gordon's two free throws with four seconds to go secured the four-point win.

Prior to Gordon's two foul shots, Brian Cook hit a free throw to put the Clippers up by two. New Orleans had a chance to tie or win, but an errant pass from Chris Paul went off a teammate's foot and the Clippers regained possession - where Gordon was immediately fouled.

In the back-and-forth last minute of the game, LA's Ryan Gomes' put-back bucket with 38 seconds left put them up by two and then a Gordon foul shot made it three. Trevor Ariza then missed two free throws for New Orleans but teammate Jarrett Jack got fouled seconds later and made two from the line to keep the score close.

The Clippers' free throw shooting wasn't consistent during the game but Gordon, Griffin and Cook hit key foul shots when they counted the most - in the last minute of the game.

Griffin finished the game with 24 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and two blocks while Gordon led his team in scoring with 27. Al-Farouq Aminu had 16 points and DeAndre Jordan had 12.
