The Clippers missed a last attempt to tie in the last seconds of double OT and lost to the Utah Jazz 109-107 in Salt Lake City.

Eric Gordon scored 27 points for the Clippers (1-6) while Chris Kaman had 23 and Eric Bledsoe added 14. Blake Griffin, who fouled out in the second OT, scored 16 points and had 17 rebounds.

Deron Williams - who had the tie-breaking layup with 6.8 seconds left in the second OT - scored 30 for Utah (3-3) and Paul Milsap added 25 points and 12 rebounds.

Gordon tied the game at 91 at the end of regulation, but missed a runner in the lane at the end of the first overtime that could have won it.

After coming out strong to start the game, the Clippers again hit a snag in the third quarter, scoring only 18 points while allowing 31 and losing their lead.

Despite being down by 18 at one point, Utah continues its domination of LA - with winning eight of their last nine meetings.
