Clippers win by one

Tyreke Evans had the chance to tie the game with 1.9 seconds on the clock with three free throws, but he missed the last one and the Clippers escaped with the one-point win over the Kings.

The Clippers went up 100-97 on a breakaway dunk by Eric Gordon with only seconds left in the game and then Evans tried tying it with a three at at the buzzer, but was fouled. He sank the first two foul shots, but missed the final one and while his teammates tried to tip it back, they missed the several opportunities and came up short.

Gordon – who ultimately had the game-winning shot – led Los Angeles with 31 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Blake Griffin had his 19th double-double of the season – tying the Clipper record with Michael Cage, who accomplished it in the 1986-1987 season. Griffin finished with 24 points, 14 rebounds and four assists while Baron Davis and Al-Farouq Aminu added 11 points apiece for the Clippers (10-22).
