Clippers loss to Grizzlies an exercise in frustration

The Clippers had no flow, no rhtyhm and the Grizzlies had both as the Clippers lost 96-85 to a team ranked higher in the Western Conference standings. The Clippers are now fourth, and as long as they don’t have to play San Antonio, Memphis, Denver or OKC in the playoffs, they should be all set. The Clippers have got to find a way to play well against the best teams in the Western Conference or it’s going to be a short-lived playoff outing.

Crawford’s status for big Grizzlies-Clippers game tonight…

He’s in. Crawford has missed the last two games with an ankle injury, but he’ll play tonight against the Grizzlies in a big pre-playoffs matchup. Winner will be in that coveted third spot in the Western Conference standings again. The teams, who don’t like each other much and always play a physical game, have been seesawing back-and-forth over the last week in the conference standings. Memphis, somehow, has flourished since it traded Rudy Gay. The Grizzlies have won 13 of their last 14, but remember the Clippers knocked them out of the playoffs in the first round last year.
