Blake Griffin’s showing in exhibition opener could be a good sign

The Clippers on Tuesday lost their exhibition opener 112-94 to the Golden State Warriors, the team that took Los Angeles to seven games in the first round of the playoffs this past season.

Clippers forward Blake Griffin was one of those who took the loss to Oklahoma City in the next round very hard. It was therefore good to see Griffin on Tuesday play like the season was in mid-swing.

Griffin scored a game-high 24 points on 9 of 17 shooting – 1 of 1 from 3-point range. He was 5 of 6 from the free-throw line and he pulled down 12 rebounds, doled out three assists and made three steals. Indeed, Griffin is ready to roll.

For that, Clippers fans should be stoked because early season hustle can be contagious.
