Markieff Morris of Phoenix can’t believe Blake Griffin’s game-winner went in

Markieff Morris of the Phoenix Suns had a birds-eye view of Blake Griffin’s game-winning 3-point basket at the overtime buzzer Monday night in the Clippers’ 121-120 victory over the Suns.

Griffin made a 26-foot basket from the corner, but the shot itself was anything but pretty – other than when it went through the net.

First of all, it was a line drive.

“I did not think that had a shot of going in,” said Morris, who scored 21 points for Phoenix. “I was under the rim. It was a line drive. (Blake) missed it so bad, that he made it. That’s exactly what it was. He missed his shot so bad, that it went in the rim. I’m calling ‘short,’ and it was, wow. Come on. I thought it was going to go over the backboard.”

Instead, it hit the front of the rim, bounced into the air and back down through the net. The celebration was on for the Clippers, who have now won eight consecutive games.

Griffin scored 45 points.
