Clippers small forward Matt Barnes on Saturday was fined $25,000 for kicking a water bottle into the stands and directing profane language toward fans with 2:09 left in the fourth quarter of the Clippers’ 104-96 loss at Washington on Friday, it was announced by Rod Thorn, president of basketball operations for the NBA.

Meanwhile, the Clippers (16-6) had a rather poor first half at Milwaukee (11-12) on Saturday and were behind 51-42 at halftime.

The Clippers are without backup post Spencer Hawes, who Saturday sustained a bruised knee.
