– The Clippers did a good job of denying Steph Curry the ball. He entered the game averaging 17.1 shots, but took just 12 and made five. His 14 points were well below his season scoring average of 23.1.

– The Clippers had a very good night rebounding the ball. They had 50 to 44 for Golden State. Perhaps most importantly, Blake Griffin had a game-high 15 rebounds. Being that he’s spending less time in the paint this season, his numbers are down in this department. He has a career rebounding average of 10.0 and with this effort he’s now averaging 8.0 this season.

– Jamal Crawford was Mr. Clutch, scoring 12 of his game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter when the Clippers were working on sealing the fate of Golden State. Three of those points came on a 3-pointer with 2:55 to play for the final nail in the Warriors’ coffin.

– The Clippers could have hung their heads after shooting just 16.7 percent (4 of 24) in the first quarter; they started 1 of 17 from the field. They shot 39.1 percent in the second quarter, 47.8 in the third and 58.8 percent in the fourth to finish at 39.1 percent (34 of 87) for the game.

– Make no mistake, this was a big victory. Keep in mind that the Clippers entered with just a 4-7 record against teams currently with winning records. That’s not to mention that the Clippers were blown out at Golden State on Nov. 5. This was a confidence-builder, to be sure, even if coach Doc Rivers would not admit that afterward. He said the team was already filled with confidence.
