It was late Wednesday night, less than 24 hours before the Clippers would announce they shipped off Chris Douglas-Roberts and Reggie Bullock to get Austin Rivers – son of Doc Rivers – in a three-team deal Thursday afternoon. The Clippers had just beaten the Portland Trail Blazers, thanks in part to 25 points off the bench from Jamal Crawford.

Clippers players knew there were deals in the works if for no other reason than the rumors were everywhere. Crawford, ever the pro, was asked about not knowing who was coming or going, and he gave that perfect  answer.

“You just go to worry about the stuff we can control,” he said. “Whoever comes in here, we have to welcome with open arms and continue to be professional.”
