Doc Rivers suggests he knows his team has flaws, and he’s cool with that

Coach Doc Rivers on Saturday night was asked to assess his team at the midway point after it defeated the Sacramento Kings 117-108 in Sacramento.

Rivers, who has made it known he doesn’t give a hoot about what reporters think, had an almost expected response.

“I like our team, I’ve been saying that,” Rivers said. “We don’t have the perfect team and I’ll let all you guys (reporters) point that out to us, but we don’t care. I haven’t seen the perfect team. Every team has some kind of flaw and we’re fine with that.”

The Clippers (27-14) reached the halfway point in sixth-place in the Western Conference standings. If the playoffs were to begin right now, they’d play No. 3 Memphis in the first round.

The Clippers were third in the conference at the end of the 2013-14 regular season.
