Matt Barnes on Saturday night had his first double-double of the season when he scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Clippers’ 117-108 victory at Sacramento. Asked about it post-game, he decided to be a comedian.
“Just DJ (DeAndre Jordan) and Blake (Griffin) not stealing my rebounds,” Barnes said. “I could average more rebounds, but these two are rebound hogs. But like I said, just attacking on both ends whether it’s shooting or attacking the glass and playing defense. I just tried to set the tone tonight.”
Barnes, who averages 3.6 rebounds on the season, also had three steals Saturday.
The Clippers (27-14) on Monday at 12:30 p.m. play host to the Boston Celtics (13-25).
