With the trading deadline less than two hours away at the time of this writing, we thought it would be interesting to share what Clippers coach Doc Rivers thinks about counseling players whose names come up in trade rumors. Sometimes he speaks with them, sometimes not.
“Some guys are very sensitive, some guys are not,” he said. “But the guys who are sensitvie, even when you tell them they’re not involved or involved, you know, they’re stll going to be sensitive because for a lot of people, what they read, they believe. And I don’t get that, you know, after meeting all you guys.”
Rivers laughed.
“But it’s the truth,” he said. “When you see it in print or anything, you’re worried and, so, it’s typical.”
