DeAndre Jordan wanted to make one thing perfectly clear after his Clippers were defeated 90-87 by the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night at Staples Center. Yes, Chris Paul was harassed into a turnover with 1.5 seconds to play while trying to work for a shot that could have won the game as the Clippers were trailing just 88-87 at the time. But without Paul’s 30 points and 10 assists, the Clippers would not have even been in the position to try to win the game.

“It happens,” said Jordan, who had nine points and 17 rebounds. “We’re going to live and die with Chris and Blake (Griffin) at the end of the game. It was tough because he (Paul) played well the entire game and it (came down to) one play. … Without Chris, we’re not in this game down the stretch. You’ve got to give him credit.”

The Clippers (37-20) are now 4-2 without Griffin, who is out with an elbow injury.
