Small forward Jordan Hamilton last week was signed to a 10-day contract. Until Monday, he had played just a total of three minutes in two games. But on Monday he started for the injured Matt Barnes (hamstring) and he came through with 10 points, three rebounds and an assist in the Clippers’ 110-105 victory at Minnesota.

Hamilton, who prepped at Compton Dominguez High, made 4 of 10 from the field – 2 of 6 from 3-point range in just about 26 minutes.

Afterward, Hamilton talked about trying to make the most of this opportunity. He was signed out of the NBA Development League.

“Absolutely, just went in there and played hard on the defensive end, made shots and it came around to me,” he said.

Hamilton had not played in the NBA this season until now. He previously played in 126 games with Denver and Houston.
