J.J. Redick was coming off a game Wednesday he’d like to forget. He scored just three points on 1 of 6 shooting in the Clippers’ loss to the Utah Jazz.

Fast forward to Friday. Redick scored 20 points on 8 of 14 shooting – 3 of 3 from 3-point range – in the Clippers’ 111-90 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans at Staples Center.

Redick was stoked.

“I started 1-for-4, but I think it was good for me to knock a couple of shots down before I got subbed out in the first quarter,” he said. “More so than anything, I just played with more energy than I did against Utah and that was the biggest thing.”
