J.J. Redick had already missed three games this season with back spasms, so when he took the floor Monday night at Minnesota having missed all but 17 seconds of the previous two games with a sprained right ankle, he wasn’t exactly at his rhythmic best.

He proceeded to shoot 1 of 9 from the field in the Clippers’ 110-106 victory over the Timberwolves. He did make all 11 of  his free throws, including seven in the final 22 seconds.

Afterward, he talked about the rust with his shot.

“My wind was good,” he said. “It’s about rhythm. I’ve had two separate weeks out of the last four weeks where I haven’t been able to literally do anything with the basketball. It’s tough to not do anything for seven days and then play, other than (17) seconds on Wednesday night” in a loss to Indiana at Staples Center.

Next up for the Clippers, at Milwaukee on Wednesday at 5 p.m. (on Prime Ticket).
