Chris Paul named Western Conference Player of the Week

The NBA has named Chris Paul the Western Conference Player of the Week for his work in victories over Portland, Charlotte and New Orleans.

Paul scored 21 points and doled out 19 assists in a 109-98 victory Wednesday at Portland; he had 25 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block in Saturday’s 97-83 victory over Charlotte; and he scored 25 points, grabbed five rebounds and had 11 assists, a block and three steals in Sunday’s 114-111 overtime win over New Orleans.

Paul shot 53.5 percent (30 of 56) overall, 50 percent (6 of 12) from 3-point range.
