L.A. Clippers coach Doc Rivers on Monday said the team is taking the threatening March 14 tweet directed at Chris Paul and his wife Jada like it’s real.

The tweet, sent the day after the Clippers were routed by the Cleveland Cavaliers at Staples Center, read, “@CP3 if I knew where you lived I’d probably kill your wife and frame you for it. I watch dateline I get away with it.”

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident.

“We take everythuing serious,” Rivers said before his team took on the Boston Celtics at Staples Center. “We’ve had a couple in the past and it’s just the way we live now. You don’t know what is actually threatening or not. But, unfortunately, in this day and time you have to take everything serious. That’s the way it is, and it’s too bad.”

TMZ also reported a Twitter troll has been hounding Paul and his wife the past year.
