Chris Paul has some fun when notion of trading him is discussed

A radio-station reporter informed Chris Paul at practice Tuesday that there are some stations whose talking heads have been wondering if Paul, 30, should be traded.

The timing of this conversation seemed off, considering Paul on Monday was named Western Conference Player of the Week and has played a big role in the team winning nine in a row – the past eight without leading scorer Blake Griffin.

Interestingly, the reporter told Paul that his station – The Beast 980 – was one of the stations that discussed the subject. The Beast 980 is the station where all Clippers games can be heard.

Paul took it well, and even had some fun with it when it was suggested he might be playing in anger because of such ideas.

“Oh, man,” Paul said. “… Let me  know because I need to start looking at housing or something like that. You  know, I got my kids in school here. I didn’t know that, but I’ve always heard that I play angry as it is. I’m two totally different people on the court and off the court. So for me, I play the way I’ve been playing and I’ve been playing that way for a long time.”
