this particular case, police told me the victim was unable to see much beyond age, race and their baggy pants before he was clobbered on the head.
your refusal to state the full discription is pc bs. I have been reading the d.b for over 20 years and this pc crap is a new development.you are no longer a news paper to say that you dont want to indicte a huge group of the population is a cop out,the entire baggy pants group wasnt there(at the scene of the crime),if you would have added the age and race it would have narrowed it down , perhaps some one saw them in the area or saw them leave and gotten a lic. plate # your paper had no problem stating a full discription in the steve pick storey and including way to much information when it was totaly unnecesary.

Larry Altman has covered crime in the South Bay since 1990. He's seen it all - the missing model who turned up dead in the desert, the wives found dead in trunks, the high-school coaches who get a little too close to their players. He drives his young colleagues nuts with his "I remember when" stories. He welcomes your tips and observations about the present, and you can mix in a little Lakers basketball talk if you like.
