Suspected thief learns there's no bridge to Catalina
An auto theft suspect who ran a red light and led police on a chase from Broadway and Gage in Los Angeles this morning kept driving west, even when he reached the ocean.I don't know what was on his mind, but he flew straight into the drink at the Port of Los Angeles.
He stood shirtless on the top of the van for a moment and then swam around for 15 minutes before firefighters plucked him from the water and handed him over to LAPD.
