Gay marriage may be put on hold
Got this press release in my inbox from the Supreme Court:

DATE: Thursday, May 22, 2008A petition for rehearing and a request for a stay was filed late this afternoon in the California Supreme Court relating to the court's opinion in In re Marriage Cases, S147999, filed May 15, 2008. The petition and stay request was filed by the Proposition 22 Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that the group is asking the Court to put implementation of the law on hold until the November election.
