Here's our PSA for the day. Assemblyman Ted Lieu will be available to discuss legislative issues concerning "you and your children," according to his mailer, while the kiddos will be fingerprinted for free.

The first event will be June 21 at the Torrance Farmer's Market at Charles H. Wilson Park, 2200 Crenshaw Blvd. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The second event will be June 28 at the Redondo Beach Library Main Branch, 2nd Floor, 303 N. Pacific Coast Highway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kids will also get free public safety and fire safety coloring books at the events. Local law enforcement agencies will also be on hand. More information is available by calling Lieu's District Office at (310) 615-3515.

Wow, I'm on the fence with this one. While I am first in line to protect our precious snowflakes, something about "free" Government fingerprinting wigs me out.

Or maybe its the fact that I don't trust Ted Lieu.

Either way, lets keep those kiddies safe and I hereby demand coloring books for myself and fellow 28% tax-bracketers. You know...something for the trouble and all.
