San Pedro physician charged with sexual battery

| | Comments (1)

Prosecutors filed two sexual battery misdemeanor counts today against Dr. Zeljko Zic, a San Pedro endocrinologist and a Rancho Palos Verdes resident. The complaint doesn't offer much detail, except to say there are two different female victims who he allegedly touched in a sexual and unwanted way. The first alleged incident was July 25, 2007 and the last one was March 27.

The Deputy District Attorney in Long Beach who filed the case isn't giving up much, so I'm working on finding out more details about the alleged crimes. Whatever I get (or don't get) will be in tomorrow's Daily Breeze.

In reading in the Daily Breeze yesterday(06/12/08) about accusations being asserted that Dr. Zic had been accused by two women (??) that he had sexually assaulted them in some manner.
First off,I find this totally unbelievable. As a patient of Dr. Zic(by the way a brilliant Doctor whom I trust implicitly) and wonder how anyone could conjure up such charges.

First off Dr. Zic has been nothing but professional during my appointments for my bi-yearly complete physicals.
He in no way brings forth any type of sexual energy during my appointments.
I feel he is one of the most capable and gentlemanly person and also professional to the "T"

His work is impeccable. I find he goes to the max as far as giving you results from the various tests the office has given.
I was referred to him by my General Physician Dr. Alecssandra Roberts in Torrance(Manhattan Beach ?)
First I am surprised that anyone could find the time to spend alone with him so as to actually be involved in what they are claiming to as a Sexual Assault. Firstly he has such a ultimately busy practice and also the ages of the women as observed by me each time I have an appointment with Dr. Zic are between 50-85 and older.
There are so many people that are part of his staff and so many [patients coming in and out that I doubt that he could find the time to enact any kind of behaviour that could be shall we say..inappropriate.. he has nurses, male assistants, test takers, blood drawing assistants too.
If this could be coming from some unhappy off base type of patient it could be that the "women" wanted some type of relationship with him.
I would be willing to testify to all of my statements here.

I hope his Attorney will be given copies of my beliefs and a witness to his actions and behaviours.

Please pass on my letter to Dr. Zic.

Sincerely, Mary A. Christiansen(age 67.. not looking like it at all)
