Police say Mohammad Naseem Hanafi, 56, of Hawthorne, left, kidnapped his wife, bound her, gagged her, drugged her and tortured her to coerce her to sign over her assets in a divorce. She escaped. Hanafi is in jail, held on $10 million bail and charged with kidnapping and torture.

On the right is Kanasi David Liggins, 36, who is suspected of helping his friend Hanafi. Liggins remains at large. If you know where he is, call Hawthorne police at 310-349-2700.

We'll have all the details on this later on dailybreeze.com and in Friday morning's paper.
