Here's what the police sent me to let me know what's the haps in Redondo Beach.
09-08 (Monday)/ 4:50 a.m.
Location: 1200 block of Aviation Boulevard
Officers responded to an alarm call and observed signs of burglary activity. Removed was the mailbox slot to the front door of the business. Window and sliding door found to be off track, with several desks ransacked and rummaged. Search of the premises ended in negative results for a suspect. The investigation is related to the following entry.
09-08 (Monday)/ 7:30 a.m.
Location: 1300 block of Clark Lane
While processing the scene, in the aforementioned entry, a citizen contacted officers regarding an individual hiding in a yard south of the location. This individual was watching the officers. Containment was launched. Officers located a bench, which appeared to have been dragged, from the front of a crawl space. Dirt had been disturbed, and footprints were present indicating ingress underneath the structure. An announcement was made and a police canine was deployed. The police dog located a suspect hiding. The suspect (adult) incurred a minor dog bite, and was transported to Torrance Memorial Hospital for medical attention. The suspect was linked to several commercial burglaries in the area, including one in the City of Hermosa Beach.
09-09 (Tuesday)/ 12:48 a.m.
Location: 631 Vincent Park - Redondo Union High School
Unknown suspects (two) start a fire atop the composite file north of the football field. They fled the area on foot. No structural damage occurred. A joint investigation continues by the Redondo Beach Police Department Investigations Division and the Redondo Beach Fire Department Arson Unit.
09-10 (Wednesday)/ 11:07 a.m.
Location: 631 Vincent Park - Redondo Union High School
Transferred call, from another law enforcement agency, stated: "There is a bomb at the end of the Pier." Three (3) separate searches fostered negative results in locating any device. The investigation continues.

09-11 (Thursday)/ 5:14 p.m.
Location: 1800 block of Hawthorne Boulevard
Suspect grabbed victim's purse, punched victim on the side of head, continued to pull on the purse until the strap broke. The suspect ran off and entered an awaiting vehicle. The victim was not injured. This robbery investigation is ongoing by the Redondo Beach Police Department Investigations Division.
09-12 (Friday)/ 12:55 a.m.
Location: 100 Fisherman's Wharf
Officers responded to the location to assist the Redondo Beach Fire Department on a medical call regarding a head injury. A witness related the injured party engaged in a verbal argument with another person. The dispute escalated into a physical altercation, where the unidentified person punched the victim (injured party) in the face. The victim fell backwards, down three steps, and struck the concrete floor headfirst. The suspect fled the area on foot. The victim was transported to Harbor General Hospital. The medical examination revealed the victim suffered multiple skull fractures, possible fractured neck, and bleeding on the brain. The Investigations Division and Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded to the scene. The investigation continues regarding this battery incident involving serious bodily injury or harm.

Location: 1600 block of Kingsdale Avenue
An unknown suspect struck the victim in the head, with a golf club, in a parking lot area. The victim did not know the suspect. According to the victim, the assault and battery was an unprovoked attack. The suspect fled the area, and was not located. The victim required mo medical attention.
09-13 (Saturday)/ 11:20 a.m.
Location: 1800 block of Hawthorne Boulevard
A subject entered a store and selected merchandise. The subject was recognized by store Loss Prevention as a previous shoplifter. The subject was observed removing the security sensor tags with a tool. Loss Prevention attempted to contact the subject, but the now suspect fled on foot into the surrounding residential area. Containment was established, with an extensive search. The suspect was located several blocks from the original scene, with the stolen merchandise in possession. Loss Prevention responded to the detention scene and positively identified the subject as the suspect and the stolen/recovered property. The suspect was arrested without further incident and booked for the charge of commercial burglary.
