'48 Hours Mystery' show on 'Lomita Black Widow' case rescheduled for Jan. 31
I wrote an article recently that updated the latest on the Sonia Rios Risken murder case.She's the Lomita woman who was suspected of involvement in the deaths of two husbands, 19 years apart in the Philippines.
Then someone killed her in her home.
The latest was that a CBS television crew had brought back the remains of her first husband and allowed his family to bury them in Iowa.
In that article, I mentioned that "48 Hours Mystery" was putting together a show on the case and said it was scheduled for Jan. 24.
Well, it's been delayed a week. The new air date is Jan. 31.

Dear Mr. Altman,
I just came across this today. What date was your update written? I missed it and would like to get a copy.
Mr. Risken was my daughter's favorite teacher and we have been following this case since his tragic death.
Also, do you know if Mr. Risken's remains were ever returned to his family? Seems odd that the remains of Sonia Risken's first husband were returned but not those of Mr. Risken.
I'm looking forward to the story on 48 Hours Mystery. Thank you for keeping us updated on this.

I would like to know if/when this program will be rerun. Is there any way to get a copy of it?I had no knowledge of it being aired.
Sonya and her husband were my neighbors in 1971/1972 and my daughter worked for Sonya in her shop in Lomita many years later. I am very interested in following this story.

yes, is the 48hrs mystery conspiracy to kill going to be rerun?
I did work for them about 10 years or so ago on there house. He seemed cool but she was a bitch and didnt want to pay me. She definatley wore the pants in the household. Had to take her to court for my dough. She got what she deserved since i'm sure she was involved in the murder of her 2 husbands. She was a scammer IMO!!!
