It's so hard to fathom this happening in our neighborhood to someone everyone knew and enjoyed being around. Cori was a beautiful girl inside and out. She had a gorgeous smile and an infectious laugh. She will be very missed.

I didn't know Cori, but this story touched me as well. Being a father of a daughter myself this kept me up most of last night after seeing it on the news. My thoughts and prayers to her family, I can't imagine what they must be going through.

I appreciate the updates Larry and look forward to you breaking the story when the evil person who committed this cowardly act is brought to justice.

Cori, was my cousins, cousin. From what I remember of Cori, she was vibrant and full of life. It has been years since I last saw Cori, I will always remember what a special child she was. She turned into a wonderful young woman. I see how hard this has hit my family and it is really killing me, watching her dad and my cousin talk about her on the news and seeing the pain in their eyes is horrible. I hope and pray that they find who did this as quickly as humanly possible. And bring them to justice!

Cori was a friend of my daughters and having met her a few times I was quickly impressed with her. Such a lovely girl, smiling, laughing. My heart breaks for her family. My niece Shannon was murdered last year in Seattle so I know exactly what they are going thru. It is devasting and it never leaves you. You don't know until you are in those shoes the pain. I pray this animal is caught. We were fortunate and Shannon's killer is awaiting trial. God bless you Cori and your family. My prayers are with you all.

I am so saddened that this happened to that lovely young woman and my heart goes out to her family. I can't think of anything worse for a parent. She deserved a long and beautiful life.

My daughter used to work at the Bac Street Bar with Cori. We were always worried about her safety. The girls, would close the bar alone at 2 in the morning. I mean, completely alone. No bar back, no other bartender, alone.

I hope that bar, and the whole neighborhood gets more aware of safety for everyone's sake.

I was lucky enough to say Cori was my friend. Every moment we spent together was always full of joy and laughter. She is an angel and I will always miss her. No one was nicer or easier to talk to than Cori Daye. Cori had lots of friends, her killers days are numbered. I just hope the cops catch him before any of us.

I had only known Cori less than two months and only spoken to her a few times. What I did learn very quickly was the fact that Cori was a very positive upbeat and personable girl who had a very strong soul. I felt like I had known her forever from the first time I sat and talked to her. She always had a smile on her face and had big dreams for her future. Cori has very obviously touched many people's lives in the short time that she had spent on this earth. My thoughts and prayers go out to Cori and her family. Cori will most definately be missed. Who ever took her life away will be brought to justice. I would hope that anyone with any possible lead would come forward to help make that happen.

A missing person flyer was sitting in the front desk at my work in the Riveria Village a week ago, and I just hoped and prayed that this woman would be found.
When I heard that she had been found, my heart broke and my stomach turned. I had talked to several customers at my work who had told me they had known her, through her job, and that she was such a friendly person. They told me, even though they didn't personally know her, that they shared smiles and laughs and she was full of good energy.
What sickens me is the thought of the suspect coming across me... that we may joke and share some laughs at my work, with me being oblivious to who this person is and what they have done to hurt so many people.
I hope and pray that this person is found and justice is brought. There is no excuse for deciding the end of someone's life and causing pain for everyone around that person.

I used to be friends with Cori's brothers, Troy and Travis. We hung out every day for a long time. I knew Cori from High School and from hanging out with her brothers. This is a complete shocker to me. Cori was just a beautiful girl and very very outgoing. I cannot imagine what her family must be going through. This just goes to show that anything can happen at any time to anyone. I just hope to God that this killer is caught for the sake of Cori's family, and her!! RIP Cori!!

I had known Cori since preschool and we went to all the same schools growing up, even though I never really hung out with her. I'll never forget the sting I felt when I saw her picture on the news and the shock all the days that followed. I'm praying for her and her family and for any possible closure.

I dontknow this women personally, but I'm a bartender and I immediatly became heartbroken over what happen to her. I'm sooo Angry that someone would take the life of this young girl!I'm also soo Angry that the police havent found any suspects. I cant help but think they aren't working hard enough, but maybe they are,I just wish I can help them, maybe I can see someething they aren't. It had to be someone close to her or someone who was in that lastbar she went to and knocked on the door. The people who said she didnt sound distressed, she sounded drunk! that makes me angry. I cant help but think they could have saved her life! I cant imagine if a girl I knew was outside after hours asking me to let her in to use the restroom,me not letting her in. I feel for those people that made that decision that night, I know they probably are blaming themselves.I'm sorry for blaming them too. I wish I could take away the pain that her family is going threw.Omg! I cant imagine howi'd be able to go on. We will find her killer. I know it. I trust in the lord, and I'm praying for it.! One last thing who was this guy she had been arguing with that night? have they found out any thing about him?

I hope the Redondo police told the San Bernardino sheriffs about the guy who tried to abduct another woman in Redondo back in January. The 3/12 BEACH REPORTER carriess the story and a police sketch of the man who lured a woman who was walking over toward his van by asking directions; another guy jumped out and grabbed her, she managed to escape and they fled the scene. This happened on Jan. 3 at Grant and Green Lane -- same corner as the school, and police described it as "bold." It is a white 90's van with a window on the sliding door.

These guys could be involved in Cori Desmond's murder. This corner is not very far by vehicle from the bar Bogey's and the area where Cori disappeared from. They should put out an all points bulletin for a white van answering this description as it may be involved in the homicide. Here is a link to the story:

I think of Cori everyday....I was there when she came into this world. I can't believe anyone could kill such a sweet, beautiful person. I Love her as though she was my own, her & my daughter grew up together. Our hearts are broken.I am sooooo tired of the rumors out there, people taking like they know what happened, if you do go to the police, stop making it topic at every bar in the South Bay. Spreading rumors isn't helping, if you have facts report it, if you don't shut up.Please have respect for her Family & Friends.
