FALSE REPORT: Jon Wilhite has not died

MLB Network reported earlier that Jon Wilhite of Manhattan Beach had died in the crash that killed Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart. It is not true. Some other media outlets picked up that report.

A UC Irvine Medical Center spokesman told me minutes ago that Wilhite remains in critical condition in intensive care and the MLB report is incorrect.
