Crash victim in Torrance park accident is identified
A man killed when he lost control of a Hummer and crashed during a joyride at Guenser Park in Torrance was identified Tuesday as an Oxnard man, police said Tuesday.
Chad Russell Schaefer, 31, died in the May 5 crash in the middle of the park at 17800 Gramercy Place, police said.
Schaefer was not wearing a seat belt and was crushed under the vehicle when it flipped over him and ejected him.
