Despondent Bellflower boy sought in accidental shooting of pal from Lawndale
Deputies are looking for a 17-year-old Bellflower boy who was involved in the accidental shooting death of his friend, a Lawndale teen.
James Kempski fled and might be despondent over what happened.
The victim, Carlos Vela, 17, was declared dead Monday at the scene on Beverly Boulevard in Bellflower.
Vela and Kempski were playing with a handgun when it accidentally went off, deputies said.
Detectives say this was a tragic accident and they want Kempski to turn himself in or call them at the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at 323-90-5500.

My son died last year of an accidental shooting, they say he did it himself, but I don't believe that. I think there is a game boys play and these kids might have been playing this game. I wish his freinds would tell the truth.
Tragic
Carlos is one of my best friend closest friend. James is my other best friends neighbor. Most friends say Carlos and James were playing Russion Rollute. I dont know how to spell the second word but the point of the game is to keep shooting at each other till someone dies. They do it because they think its so cool when really its plain stupid.
Carlos will be greatly missed!!!hopefully people will think twice before playing with guns!!!RIP Carlos
