Police catch 7-Eleven robbers
Three teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of robbing as many as 17 Southern California 7-Eleven convenience stores.
Raymond Moreno, 18, was arrested at an abandoned house in Anaheim, and two 17-year-old boys were taken into custody in Chula Vista, Anaheim police Sgt. Rick Martinez said.
The first arrest was made Friday in Chula Vista, and the other two were arrested Tuesday, Martinez said. The juveniles were taken to Orange County Juvenile Hall, and Moreno was taken to an Orange County jail.
The robberies began June 20 and continued until July 16, Martinez said. The robbers posed as customers, then held up the clerk.
Crimes occurred in Anaheim, Yorba Linda, Brea, Long Beach, Fullerton, Placentia, Huntington Beach, San Clemente, La Palma and Lynwood, Martinez said.
Police originally said one crime occurred in Carson, but they now believe the crime was not related.
