Redondo Beach officer and dog win Ventura competition
Redondo Beach police Officer Ken Greenleaf and his dog "Valor" took the championship at the recent Ventura County Police K9 Trial in Camarillo.
Twenty-five police officers and their dogs from departments across California participated in the competition July 10 and 11 at Camarillo High School.
The canines competed in several categories including, obedience, agility, searching, protection and narcotics.
Greenleaf and Valor were the overall champions, placing fourth in narcotics, third in container search, first in protection, second in a box search and third in obedience.
Greenleaf and his dog have won the competition since it began four years ago.
I'm not actually sure if that's Valor in this photo, but it's definitely Greenleaf.

Officer Ken and his K-9's are winners in most of the competitions they enter. RBPD should be very proud to always have these 2 excellent Officers.
The citizens of Redondo Beach do not know how fortunate they are.
They are involved in many cases. They more than pay their way in keeping our citizens safe.

Way to go Ken! It's good to see you're still at it after all these years.

Congratulations to Officer Greenleaf and K-9 Valor on winning the Ventura K9 competition. The two of them are a credit to the Redondo Beach Police Department. We're lucky to have them serving in our city.
