BREAKING NEWS: Couple robbed on Torrance street

Robbers held up a couple sitting in their car in Torrance, forcing the male victim into his house to get more cash, police said today.

The crime occurred about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Middlebrook Road, near Sepulveda Boulevard and Cabrillo Avenue.

"It appears at this point to be random," Torrance police Sgt. Bernard Anderson said. "They were sitting in their vehicle and were surprised by the robbery suspects.
