The jury deliberated a little more than a day before deciding to recommend to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Kathleen Kennedy that 26-year-old Miguel Magallon deserved a lethal injection for the Aug. 10, 2004, murder of off-duty Los Angeles County Police Capt. Michael Sparkes.

Yes!! Yes!! This is the sentence he deserves, he must be put to death. Thank you people of the jury. One less punk in our prison system. We have no room in our prisons to lock these killers up. Starting Monday. Richard Ramirez, Tuesday, Craig Peterson. etc...

If a cop gets shot and dies it's death for the shooter,, if I get shot and die it's 25yrs. to life, with the possibility of parole for the shooter. Is this bias, predjudice, favoratisim? When a cop gets shot, you see ten,20 patrol cars out trying to sweep the area to find the shooter, I get shot, you'll see one maybe two cars, not going anywhere. One officer writing down info, the other making sure the 1st officer is safe. A cop's life is not any more important than mine, and I like my life, want to live a long one too. Oh, and the funeral, I'll be lucky if I get a Kia,,,,the cop,,,,,, that's just wrong! This is in other countries too,
