In the doghouse again
Mr. Altman,
Why is it that when a labrador or terrier bites or attacks
someone, the headline simply refers to it as a "dog", but when there is
a pit bull bite, you use the breed in the headline?
Cleaerly a headline grabbing tactic, and not respectable journalism.
In the future, I would hope that you either refer to all dogs
simply as "dogs" in a headine, or when a spaniel or hound bites, refer
to their breed name in the headline.... keep it fair across the board.
Shame on you.

When a "normal" dog bites someone, it doesn't maul them or tear off half their face.
Any pit bull attack survivor can attest to this, Amy L.
I'm guessing that woman owns a Pitt Bull... hence her "pricklyness" re another story about those dangerous dogs. I'm surprised she didn't give out the party line...it's the owners, not the Pitts, who are to blame. Yeah right! Keep up the good work Larry.
Because pit bulls are responsible for one third of the dog bite fatalities in America each year.

And unless you were refering to a blog posting, Larry (or any other reprter) doesn't write the headline. Someone else does.
Yes Larry, it's the Pitts and Jolies who are dangerous.
Yes Anonymous, it's the Pitts and Jolies who are dangerous. Excellent point.
