More medals for Redondo Beach's Valor and Greenleaf

Redondo Beach police Officer Ken Greenleaf and his dog, Valor, have won another competition.

Greenleaf and Valor were the overall champions at the 2009 World Police and Fire Games in Vancouver, B.C. on Aug. 6-7.

Twenty-five police officers and dogs from Canada and the United States competed in categories including obedience, agility, searching, protection and narcotics detection.

Greenleaf and Valor took gold medals in protection, box search and obedience, as well as the overall gold.

Redondo Beach also was represented by Officer Kevin McCamy and Kona, and Officer Corey King and Dak.

Palos Verdes Estates police Cpl. Joe Hall and his dog, Grim, also competed.
Hall and Grim took the silver in box search.
