A San Bernardino man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a man of $2,800 in El Segundo, police said Monday.

Arturo Vera, 22, who also went by the name Arturo Ramirez, was arrested Aug. 12 in Glendale, El Segundo police Sgt. Scott Doukakis said.

The robbery occurred Aug. 8 at the victim's  home in the 700 block of East Grand Avenue.
Police said Vera knew his victim, pulled a semiautomatic handgun on him while at his home, and robbed him.

When Vera was arrested, detectives found two $100 bills taken from the victim during the robbery, Doukakis said. More evidence was found at his home.

Anyone with information about similar crimes should contact El Segundo police Detective Marco Lemus at 310-524-2284 or Doukakis at 310-524-2261.
