Readers are offering condolences and prayers today in the user comments section after my story on the death of Torrance police Officer Steve Kroesen.Kroesen died of Hodgkin's Lymphoma just two days after his father, Gus, died of lung cancer.

And, maybe it's just a coincidence, but I find it interesting that on the same day we have the story of the Kroesens' deaths, we have a story about a baby who wouldn't wait to get to the hospital. Check that out too. They are both on our print edition front page.
