Manhattan Beach chase suspect eludes police

Some people have asked today about a chase in the middle of the night in Manhattan Beach. I have been a bit busy with the story on our local soldier who was killed in Afghanistan, and a report was not immediately available from the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

Best I know so far is some guy was spotted in a stolen car. He refused to stop for the police and led a short high-speed chase. Some residents told me he was going as fast as 100 mph.

He crashed in the 2200 block of Ardmore and ran. Despite a search, he got away.
