Facebook page supports Redondo Union high teacher
A Facebook page has been started in support of Louis Jay Haddad, the Redondo Union High School teacher arrested on suspicion of committing a lewd act in front of a 16-year-old student.
It says, "Mr. Haddad may be crude and forward but is not the type to sexually abuse small children. Until further information we shall support Mr. H"

This Facebook group it completely out of line, first of all on the basis that a majority of the students involved graduated TWO YEARS AGO and are completely uninvolved in the situation. Not only that, but they are hypocritical in their statements claiming that Mr. Haddad is innocent until proven guilty when they wont let that claim relate to the victim as well. I understand supporting a beloved teacher, but it has become evident in the last few hours that the page has clearly turned into center for the victim's chastisement with statements such as "she must have been failing", or "maybe she should have worn something differently". With the possibility that a 16 year old may have been subjected to lewd acts, one who hope that this group would show her a little bit more respect. On top of everything, the groups main conquest is her name, something that is NONE of their business, on the basis that their intentions with the information is probably less that appropriate.
Brittany Price, the facebook page clearly shows love and support for mr. Haddad. Try and put yourself in our shoes. What if your favorite teacher had been arrested under clearly false pretenses. Wouldn't you do all you could to support him and prove that he is not a person to act in such an immoral way. Also what does the fact that some of us graduated years ago matter? I graduated in june and since then i have seen Mr. Haddad almost every week. He has never changed. We still know how he acts and half of them, including me still see him on a regular basis. I'm speaking for the group when i say he is our friend and he is our family and we will do whatever it takes to prove that he didn't commit any crime. You are no different then us, cause i know deep down you would do the same thing. Please don't comment on something you clearly don't understand and can't relate to.

I wish you had read my words more closely...
I clearly wrote: " I understand showing support for a beloved teacher".
On top of that all of my criticism was on the basis of the words about the girl involved and her treatment unless you think thats right to attack the victim just because you believe the other side is innocent. You, just like I, have absolutely no idea what happened in that room 6th period, so I find it interesting that you choose to claim that you do. My point ( which you completely evaded) was that your group has no right to criticize this 16 year old girl more than anyone has a right to criticize Mr. Haddad. If you think the posts about her are appropriate, I have nothing else to say to you.
I also think its a tad haughty to assume that I don't understand or relate to the situation when you have no idea who I am, and secondly have no idea were I stand on the subject.

The above is a Topix site for the Daily Breeze where there is a poster who is very one-sided in his/her remarks about Mr. Haddad. I don't know who this person is but he claims to have insider knowledge that Mr. Haddad will be found guilty.
