This just in Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District:

Story coming in a few:

On Tuesday, March 23, 2010, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Detectives completed a thorough investigation into the attempted abduction of a 10-year-old student at Mira Catalina Elementary School. It has been discovered that the alleged victim's accusation was falsified and that the incident, in fact, did not occur. The District is working closely with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and school administration to address the problem and restore normalcy to the campus. We are relieved that there is closure on this issue, and satisfied our procedures already in place insured the safety of all students.

He drives his young colleagues nuts with his "I remember when" stories. He welcomes your tips and observations about the present, and you can mix in a little Lakers basketball talk if you like.
