More women say Gardena 'witch doctor' assaulted them
Four more women have come forward to report that a man known as a "witch doctor" in
Gardena groped them, police said Thursday.
The women contacted police following news reports Wednesday about Rigoberto Padilla Carranza, 53, who runs Productos Naturales Rigo at 2210 Marine Ave., Gardena police Lt. Steve Prendergast said.
Carranza was arrested Wednesday following reports from two women who said he touched them inappropriately during treatment for back and other pain.
Gardena police publicized the arrest because they believed more victims likely existed.
Detectives were interviewing the new victims Thursday.
Carranza is scheduled for arraignment Friday at the Torrance courthouse.
