42 drivers cited in crosswalk sting in Torrance

Police cited 42 drivers today for failing to yield to pedestrians during a sting operation in Torrance.

Officers conducted the special traffic enforcement operation in the 23800 block of Madison Street from 8 to 9:30 a.m., Torrance police Sgt. Jeremiah Hart said.

Officers cited the drivers when they failed to yield for colleagues crossing the street in a marked crosswalk
.
One driver was cited for driving without a license.
