Man robs Torrance bank

A man robbed a Bank of America branch today in Torrance, police said.

The crime occurred about 2:50 p.m. at the branch at Hawthorne Boulevard and Carson Street, Torrance police Lt. Devin Chase said.

The man handed a note to the teller. He pretended to have a gun.

No other information was immediately available.
